Fundraising
Front Runners Atlanta was started in 1990 by a group of LGBTQIA+ runners who were seeking a community during the HIV crisis. That same year, they created the Atlanta Pride Run (now known as Pride Run ATL), the first LGBTQIA+ run in Atlanta, to raise money to help those impacted by HIV.
Over the years, the Atlanta Pride Run has championed for LGBTQIA+ rights and raised more than $350,000 for the AIDs-focused nonprofits, AID Atlanta, Positive Impact, Lost-N-Found Youth, and more.

Health & Wellness
This race started as a way to raise money for the founders who lost their lives to AIDs-related diseases. This mission still drives us today, as we expand into solving other critical issues that our community faces: mental health issues, homelessness, and finding community.
Our events and race all have free HIV-testing on-site and connects anyone to the community resources for treatment.

Gender Advocacy
Pride Run ATL strives to be the most gender-affirming race in the state. Our team works tirelessly with the community to create new programs and safe spaces for the transgender and nonbinary community.
For 2025, we are introducing the Pride Valley Fund, a service that removes financial barriers for LGBTQIA+ athletes to participate in eligible races.
